Each client is different so you may like to assess and select the most appropriate model on a per client basis.

Value-Add

How it works:

  • Your company engages with the client and provides us with an overview of the requirements. Alternatively you may ask us to sit in at a meeting as part fo your 'web team'.

  • Kintek will produce a customised Proposal. Your company will adjust the Kintek cost price to allow for your margin and supply the client with the price adjusted Proposal.

  • Once your clients accepts the proposal, Project development can commence. We engage with the client through you.

How it works:

  • You refer clients to us

  • We engage directly with the client

  • We setup a meeting with the client to gather requirements

  • We produce a proposal with an in-built commission percentage for you

  • Once the customer accepts the proposal, Project development can commence. We engage directly with the client and keep you in the loop at all times.

Our Project Management Tools & Techniques

Pre-Project Checklist

Available online or as a 'tick & flick' word document, the checklist provides a framework for planning any web project. It covers important aspects that need to be thought through in the planning stages and helps the customer establish what it is they want and need from their web project.

Project Management Handbook

Project Managers at Kintek use a variety of tools and techniques to manage projects from their inception to their successful completion. The Project Management Handbook is available to all new clients.

Project Description Document

The PDD is an internal document in which a project is broken down into manageable tasks and milestones. The PDD is the framework from which the costing for a project is derived. It is also used to ensure the project is completed within the specified time constraints.

Scope Of Works

The Scope Of Works is a user-friendly version of the Project Description Document, and provides a higher level view of the work involved. It is included within the Proposal document as a reference point for the client.

Proposals

Our professional 20+ page Proposal document provides customers with detailed information regarding the specifics of their ‘proposed’ Project. This document is geared to win customers by supplying them with a clear and thorough information regarding: what is involved, what it will cost, how it will be accomplished and how long it will take.

The Proposal document contains tables, flow diagrams and other graphical elements to make it easy to follow and understand. This document is customized for each project.

Change Management

When a customer requests a change or addition to their project once development has commenced, the change management process is initiated. This ensures that the change is formally documented and it's impact is carefully considered in relation to scope, budget and timeline.

A Change Management form is issued to cost, authorize and track any change to the project and avoid what is known as ‘Scope Creep’. This form must be signed off by the customer before the change is implemented.

Weekly Production Reports

At the end of each week, a Weekly Production Report is issued to you the customer. This report provides an overview of the week’s activities including progress made, change requests and any other relevant details. A plan for the forthcoming week is also included.

User Acceptance Testing

Although customer feedback and testing is required throughout all stages of design and development, User Acceptance Testing is the formal product evaluation performed by the customer once the project is deemed complete. If successful, it signals the approval to implement the system live.
