Assignment

Purple Palate love Wine. In particular Wine from the Barossa. They came to Kintek with a vision of delivering fine wine and events to the whole of Australia.

Over the past two years Kintek and Purple Palate have worked together to produce a number of online systems to cater to Purple Palates growing needs.

Solution

The retail portal http://www.purplepalate.com contains an intuative wine finder, full featured ecommerce shopping system and great blog articles about wine.

It also incorporates a fantastic FREE monthly newsletter sent via Kintek's Newsletter management system and deep social media integration with Facebook and Twitter.

We also produced a custom mini site dedicated to their brand new Bar Barossa which opened to acclaimed reviews in August 2009. http://barbarossa.com.au/.

To help Purple Palate manage all the content for their Wines, Wineries, Region guides, Newsletters, Events and every day Office work, Kintek developed an online file storage catalogue which enables Purple Palate staff collaborate and upload images and documents to be used within the office or published on to the website.

Kintek has also worked on a number of smaller satellite websites for the Purple Palate brand including their Wholesale arm SWWS: http://swws.com.au and an Iconic Wine Cellar in Barossa called Tanunda Cellars.

To assist Purple Palate in storing and retrieving their massive data bank of photos, articles, wine tasting notes and other content, Kintek helped develop an online data library, which enables uploading, tagging and advanced fuzzy search on text content to allow Purple Palate staff to quickly 'Find that File' in the office or on the road.
