Teacher Resources and Classroom Games

Teach This is a centre for teacher resources. Their website allows members to print or purchase curriculum based games, classroom activities and teaching resources for teachers, parents, tutors and homeschoolers.

Their original and impressive range of teaching resources, games and activities has attracted a very large and active user member base. Their dedication to providing their users with support has secured that member base and grown into an active community. More recently, they have started to produce interactive computer games and other exciting products.

Project Overview

Teach This first contacted Kintek in 2007. They had produced their own site, using an open-source content management system which served them well as they launched their business. However, their need for a more robust, and visually impressive site was quickly becoming a priority.

We worked together to develop a CMS solution, including a shopping cart, and subscription based system for securely delivering their PDF resources. The project was successful and the bright and happy look and feel along with user friendly navigation and easy access to website resources was popular amongst members.

In late 2009, following the continued and impressive growth of Teach This, a new redevelopment project was planned that would incorporate a huge range of additional features. The latest version of the site was launched by mid 2010, to very positive feedback from their members.

The new website and business solution features:

  • Subscriptions. Paid members have unlimited access to downloads.
  • Ecommerce. Cart, order processing. Paypal and eWay integration. Invoice generation and history. Coupons.
  • Member comments, suggestions, and discussion on all resources.

  • Chat rooms for teachers of different Grades.
  • Impressive search functionality
  • Easy to use administration panel which gives full control over site content
