I'm REALLY impressed with the netfresh program - so much information about my clients has become available - specialised mailings to people who click on links is such a huge asset. I know who is interested enough to take the time to read more info.

6 tips to improve results from your website

Keep it simple.
The best designs are the ones that are not noticed and do not detract from the message of the site. Most successful sites use a white background and black text or a background colour that doesn't obscure any text.

Make it snappy.
Home pages must load quickly. Studies show that surfers will generally wait no more a few seconds for a page to load. The least important features are "cutting edge" technologies, flashy animations and non-functional eye-candy.

Know your visitors.
Review your site with your visitor's needs and capabilities in mind. Cut the jargon and provide useful and valuable information (i.e. how-to articles, tips and tricks, industry related news, etc.).

Consider local.
Local business is important to most of us. For web visitors to find you they might be using search terms like: podiatry kenmore, bookkeeping toowong, web design brisbane. Your website should be optimised for important search terms.

Update often.
Your chance of doing well with search engines and repeat visitors is much higher if your site is updated often. Concentrate on keywords and search terms. Reduce the number of outside links to prevent broken links.

Make it easy.
Make your site easy for anyone to understand and use. If you are selling something, remove all obstacles to the sales process to make it easy for customers to want to do business with you (prices and order forms must be easy to find and use).
